Fears for Dolores O'Riordan: Ex-Voice coach sung in cell for THREE hours after air rage arrest

Former Voice coach Dolores O’Riordan spent three hours singing in her jail cell after being arrested over an air rage incident.

The Cranberries star was hauled off an Aer Lingus flight from New York at Shannon Airport in relation to an assault on board.

The 43-year-old was taken to Shannon Garda Station after the flight arrived at 5am.

But the mum-of-three worried officers so much with her hours of singing and shouting, they called a doctor over fears for her psychological well-being.

She ended up being treated at University Hospital Limerick before being released into the care of her family.

One passenger on board the jet claimed she was wearing a “red and black superhero mask” while boarding in America.

It is understood Dolores stamped on the foot of a flight attendant, requiring her to be hospitalised.

She also allegedly headbutted one of the Gardai who was sent to the scene, and spat in his face.

Now Dolores, who is planning on spending two weeks in Ireland, must wait to see whether she will face charges over the incident.

An eyewitness told the Irish Independent that at one point she roared: “I pay my taxes”.

They said: “The curtains were opened a few times and at one stage we saw the woman thumping the ceiling of the plane.

“It was only after we got off the plane that we heard who it was. She was roaring at the cabin crew and at one stage I heard her say ‘I pay my taxes’.”
