James Kavanagh has admitted giving away his Snapchat account was like losing a limb.
The Irish Snapchat star (@jamesksnaps) has thousands of followers all over the country, but has given over control to Miriam O’Callaghan.
For a new experiment the RTE host has taken hold of his account and will be doing her own snaps for the next 24 hours.
“It’s honestly like handing over a limb,” James told Goss.ie.
“It fees so wrong. What if I make nice food – how am I going to socially share it?
“It’s going to be a tough 24 hours,” he added.
After handing over his LIFE to Miriam James will then speak to her on Saturday Night With Miriam tomorrow and talk about the social media app.
James will be joined on the couch by Dr Mary Aiken, a cyberpsychologist and Professor at University College Dublin.
She will be talking about her new book The Cyber Effect: A Pioneering Cyberpsychologist Explains How Human Behaviour Changes Online.
Mary specializes in the impact of technology on human behaviour, her groundbreaking work inspired the CBS television series CSI: Cyber.
Mary states in her new book that the average person checks their phone 200 times a day – and every six minutes in the evening (we’re sure James can relate to that).
Since taking over his Snapchat Miriam has been sharing some photos and videos from RTE Studios.
