Dayl Cronin: ‘You were robbed on DWTS. That’s all I ever hear!’

Dayl Cronin says that since coming fourth place in Dancing With The Stars, people keep telling him he was robbed.

The former Hometown singer was beaten by Aoibhin Garrihy, Denise McCormack, and ultimately by GAA star Aidan O’Mahony.

“I walk into a shop and they’ll say, ‘You’re your man off Dancing With The Stars. You were robbed’. That’s all I ever hear. I’ve had so much recognition. It’s an amazing feeling.”

The performer continued to tell The Herald, “I was a bit gutted to not actually be in the final but it was great.”

He also opened up on a possible Hometown reunion, “We have no plans for a reunion yet but you never know down the line.

“I might try a bit of singing, as a hobby. I did love singing so I might keep it up to see how it goes, but I don’t know.”

Dayl hopes to branch out into different parts of the showbiz world, and his sights are particularly set on musicals and shows.

“I’m hoping to get into a couple of musicals and shows. That’s what’s hopefully in the pipeline for me. Any sort of musical theatre; my ideal job would be to tour in a musical. Going to different places would be unbelievable.”
