Daniel Day Lewis’ next career move is VERY surprising

Daniel Day Lewis is reportedly set to become a haute couture dressmaker, after announcing his retirement from acting earlier this week.

Page Six have reported that the actor fell in love with the profession while preparing for his upcoming film based on the fashion world of 1950s London.

Sources have said that because Daniel is a method actor he did intense preparation for his final role playing “an uncompromising dressmaker commissioned by royalty and high society”.

The There Will Be Blood actor will apparently stick with the profession off-screen following retirement and become a dressmaker.

Sources believe the rumours to be true, as Daniel once took a 5 year break from acting to work as a shoe cobbler in an Italian shoe factory.

Reps for the actor have said that he is set to promote his upcoming film, but after that he “will no longer be working as an actor,” calling it a “private decision.”
