Conor McGregor admits he may return to UFC sooner than expected

Dana White has said the fighter would be gone for ten months

Conor McGregor has admitted that he may return to the UFC sooner than expected.

Dana White, UFC boss, said that the fighter would be taking a 10 month break as he is about to become a father – but the Crumlin native isn’t sure if he’ll be gone for that long.

“I’m very excited about fatherhood, very excited and nervous. I just cannot wait. As far as a break I don’t know,” he said.

The 28-year-old revealed that he might be able to fit in another fit before he becomes a dad to his and Dee Devlin’s baby, but he’s currently weighing up his options.

“I know Dana [White] has been on record saying 10 months – I don’t know why he said 10 months,” he told the Irish Daily Mirror.

“I thought the baby was being born in March and then it was May. So I was like, ‘Well, maybe I could get in another one’.

“I just don’t know – I’m weighing up my options.”
