Hollywood actress and comedienne Amy Poehler is coming to Dublin this weekend.
The actress who is best known for her roles in Parks and Recreation and SNL, will be in the Emerald Isle to attend a special event at Trinity College’s Philosophical Society.
The funny woman will accept the University Society’s Gold Medal of Honorary Patrongage at the event which takes place this Friday.

The Golden Globes host follows the footsteps of Astronaut Chris Hadfield, supermodel Naomi Campbell and 21 Jump Street stars Jonah Hill and Channing Tatum in receiving the honour.
However only a lucky few can attend, The Philosophy Society has said that the event is pre-ticketed, and is limited to Trinity College students past and present who are part of the society or have been in the past four years.
The Twittersphere is currently going into meltdown as fans clamour for tickets with one Twitter writing: “Amy Poehler is gonna be in Dublin and its just for Trinity students :'( #whyohwhy”.

Another wrote: “Amy Poehler is going to be in Dublin this Friday and IM NOT EVEN IN THE COUNTRY 🙁 this is the biggest mare ever. The one time she comes arg.”
While other’s are just disappointed only The Phil members can go: “Damn you Trinity students.damn you to hell” wrote a fan on Twitter.
It is yet to be confirmed if the Late Late Show have snapped up the huge star for an exclusive interview but here’s hoping.
