Kevin McGahern has revealed he’s expecting his first child with his wife Siobhan Cassidy.
The couple found out Siobhan was pregnant earlier this year, but chose not to share the news until now.
Speaking to RSVP Live, the comedian said: “I found out a couple of months ago now and the thing about COVID-19 and being in lockdown is that we didn’t immediately have to share with everyone because we were all in our own little bubble.”
“It was a nice time for Siobhan and I to spend some time with each other and enjoy the news for ourselves before we had to tell anybody else. It has been a lovely time to get pregnant.”
Kevin also revealed that Siobhan is due to give birth in December.
“It is going to be a Christmas baby, it is arriving just before Christmas so the birth will be a nice present for the whole family,” he gushed.
“We have a couple of babies arriving in the family before Christmas so it will be a full packed house on Christmas Day.”
When asked what he’s most looking forward to about becoming a dad, Kevin said: “Seeing a human being formed in front of your eyes.”
“You want your kids to like all of the same things you like but that never happens. I grew up in a house where everyone was mad about football and I had no interest in it.”
“I guarantee fate will ensure that my daughter will be absolutely sports mad and she will think my music is awful.”
