Charleen Murphy has impressed her followers in a new ‘Get Ready With Me’ she posted on TikTok.
In a big change from her usual videos, the Irish influencer started speaking fluent German while doing her makeup.
She started the video in English, but quickly switched to German and said: “People are often surprised when I say I am half German.”

The Dublin native, who won Influencer of the Year at The Gossies earlier this month, noted that her German is not perfect, and said: “I always found the grammar difficult to learn.”
Charleen shared that her mother is German and hails from Düsseldorf, but has lived in Ireland for nearly thirty years.
She shared how speaking German helped her throughout school and university, having completed a student exchange in Berlin when she was in fourth year.
Many of Charleen’s followers were shocked to find out that she can speak German.
She replied to one comment and said: “Hahahaha im dead at this, everyones always so shocked.”
Popular Irish MUA and influencer Keilidh Cashell, who released a makeup collection with Charleen last year, also shared when she discovered her hidden talent in the comment section.

She commented: “Lol the day you picked up the phone to your mam and started talking German.. I thought I was glitching.”
Charleen expressed in the video that she would love to do more videos in German, and asked her followers for video suggestions.
