He was replaced on Big Brother last year by presenter Emma Willis, but things are finally looking up for TV host Brian Dowling.
The presenter has been announced as the host of TV3’s new Saturday night entertainment show Sitting On A Fortune. The 10 episode series is a co-development and co-production between 3Studios and RDF Television.
The new show will begin filming this June with an air date scheduled for the autumn.
Dowling previously presented SMTV Live and Big Brother. For Irish TV he co-hosted Wagon’s Den on RTE and The Big Fat Breakfast Show.

His newest show Sitting On A Fortune will see three couples take turns to sprint to the games area to take on a difficult puzzle. For the amount of time they’re away from their own chair, their rivals earn money.
RDF Television, who is behind UK shows such game shows Wife Swap and The Secret Millionaire will be distributing Sitting On A Fortune internationally.
A studio audience of 150 people will be invited to each of the shows over the two weekends in June. Those wishing to be part of the audience can apply by visiting tv3.ie/takepart.
