Bob Geldof 'blames himself' for Peaches' death – after not helping her fight heroin enough

Grieving Bob Geldof has said he “blames himself” for the heroin death of his daughter Peaches.

The Irish activist revealed he knew the 25-year-old had begun receiving treatment for her relapse into drugs.

But the Boomtown Rats frontman said he “clearly failed” to help her get through her troubles, which saw her using heroin again.

The TV presenter and mum-of-two died at her home in Kent, in England, in April following a heroin overdose.

It was eerily similar to her mum Paula Yates’ passing to heroin in 2000.

And Bob, 63, told ITV News she had “tried very hard” to deal with the issues in her life but “didn’t make it”.
