Rubberbandits star Blindboy Boatclub made a lasting impression on The Late Late Show recently with many calling for him to run for president, however the TV star has shot down any chance of that happening.
The Limerick comedian admitted that while the public are crying out for him to become Ireland’s figurehead – he couldn’t possibly as he wears a bag on his head.
“No. People are accusing me of that but no that’s not the case,” he said.

“I’m somebody who’s able to talk but I don’t think I’m a solutions person. I do wear a bag on my head at the end of the day.”
Speaking on The Anton Savage Show on Today FM, Blindboy insisted if the opportunity arose he would welcome international political figures into the country – if they were OK with a man wearing a bag on his head.
“If the international delegates were willing to accept a man with a plastic bag on his head then absolutely yes,” he added.
