An Post will honour Toy Show star Adam King in the BEST way this Christmas

Adam King’s ‘virtual hug’ has inspired a special Christmas postmark, which will be applied to stamped mail across Ireland from today.

The six-year-old, who suffers from Brittle Bones, melted the hearts of the nation on The Late Late Toy Show last month – when he offered host Ryan Tubridy his handmade ‘Hug For U’ heart.

An Post have since transformed Adam’s drawing into a postmark, which will be applied to millions of letters in the run up to Christmas.

Richard Miley of An Post Mails & Parcels said: “We’re big fans of Adam and his virtual hug.”

“As we all Send Love this Christmas, this special hug on every envelope keeps us all connected, even if we can’t hug in person this year.”

“Thanks Adam, for making the world a whole lot brighter this Christmas.”

Reacting to the exciting news in a video posted by The Late Late Show, Adam said: “Hello everyone! Guess what? My virtual hug will be on all of your letters! Happy Christmas, bye!”

The news comes after Adam returned to the Late Late last week, to have a heartwarming chat with famed astronaut Chris Hadfield.

The Cork native got to speak to the former ISS commander, after he shared his dream of becoming a capsule communicator (CAPCOM) for NASA when he’s older.
