Amy Huberman admits she and husband Brian O’Driscoll had ‘tiffs’ during lockdown

Amy Huberman has revealed that she and Brian O’Driscoll had some “tiffs” over lockdown.

The couple celebrated 10 years of marriage over the lockdown period, marking the special day by going back to the venue they wed in – Lough Rynn Castle.

The actress opened up about her family’s lockdown experience at RTÉ’s virtual Autumn launch, where she said that she “of course” had arguments with her husband.

“When you’re at home all day long with your kids, some days are great and other days it’s just frustrating and that’s just naturally the way it’s going to be,” she revealed.

“When you’re worried about family and friends, it’s unusual just to be skipping through six months of uncertainty. But for the most part, there was really lovely things to [lockdown].”

“None of it felt like a sacrifice compared to what other people had to do. I felt safe and there’s a lot to be said for that. But yeah, janey, of course there would have been [tiffs]!”

“There’s good days and bad days. Days where you’re wrecking each other’s heads and other days where you feel grateful for very small things that you have.”

“It was actually really nice for both of us not to be booting it around the place because Brian travels quite a lot for work. It was really nice to see him switch off because he couldn’t do anything else,” she added.
