Irish actress Alison Doody has revealed she doesn’t think she will ever find true love.
The India Jones and James Bond star has enjoyed a string of long-term lavish romances throughout her life, but admitted she’s learnt that money can’t buy happiness.
“I have had it all. I’ve flown on private jets. I have had the great fortune of being able to go to wonderful places and do lots of shopping…but that is not what it is all about,” she said.

“I say it to my (daughters). It is not about wealth. You cannot buy happiness. I would much rather them meet somebody who is going to look after them and mind them and be a friend to them and a great partner,” she added.
Speaking to the Sunday Independent the Dublin star admitted that now she would like to find someone she can have a strong friendship with.
Alison, 50, recently split from finance and business tycoon Tadhg Geary and said she doesn’t know if she will ever find her soul mate.

“It has to be friendship. I want to be able to spend time with someone and enjoy their company,” she explained.
“I have been very fortunate as I have been with some lovely men in my life and they have been great to me and I had a very enjoyable time with them but for one reason or another it hasn’t worked out.
“I don’t think I’ve met my soul mate and maybe I never will,” she added.
