Alessia Macari has revealed that she’s engaged to German footballer Oliver Kragl.
The Crumlin native, who won Big Brother Italy last year, announced the news with a picture of the couple sitting at a heart-shaped table, surrounded by rose petals.
The 24-year-old, whose family own the popular Mona Lisa chip shop in Crumlin, won the heart of Oliver, who is a striker for Italian football club F.C. Crotone, earlier this year.
Taking to Instagram, Alessia wrote, “He asked, and I said yes! Ho detto di SI!!! Ti amo @ollikragl #love.”
Although Alessia grew up in Ireland, the stunning brunette spent her summers in Italy and moved there a few years ago in order to pursue a career in television.
And before she entered the Big Brother Italy house last year, she was already familiar to Italian audiences, having previously starred in quiz show Avanti Un Altro.
After winning Big Brother Italy, it’s understood that Alessia grew close to Oliver shortly after meeting him – and the pair are no strangers to PDA, as both their Instagram feeds are littered full of loved-up snaps.
Oliver also posted a picture on Instagram announcing their engagement, showing off the lavish location he chose to pop the question.
