Alec Baldwin may take refuge in IRELAND to escape the wrath of Donald Trump

Alec Baldwin has admitted that he may take refuge in Ireland, to escape the wrath of Donald Trump.

The 30 Rock star has riled the US president repeatedly, thanks to his hilarious skits of President Trump on Saturday Night Live.

However, since Alec started impersonating Trump, he’s been branded as ‘sad’ and ‘laughable’ by Donald, and now friends of Alec are warning him to watch his back.

“I’m being asked if I’m worried about a tax audit. I’m not. Am I planning on leaving the country? Should I be? Do I need to leave?” he asked.

“I’m not planning on it, but if it comes to that, I have a couple of ideas where. Maybe Ireland might make a nice change of scenery. Would you harbour me?

“I’ve got Irish blood in me somewhere, that’s where I get my winning sense of humour. Maybe that’s enough to get a (Irish) passport and hide out from all these apparent threats,” he told the Irish Sun.

Although the 58-year-old’s impression of Trump has made headlines all over the world, and essentially resurrected his comedy career – Alec’s not sure he can keep it up.

“It swallows up my weekends and I have a young family. I want my weekends to be free to spend with them,” said Alec, who has three young kids, Carmen, 3, Raphael, 1, and five-month-old Leonardo with his wife Hilaria.

“So we’re trying to group together as many as we can at one time. I’ll do a couple more (shows) before the current run ends in May. After that, I have other projects I want to work on. Will it be feasible? I don’t know,” he added.
