Aidan Turner joins a host of well known faces at the opening night of Henrik Ibsen’s play Hedda Gabler at the Abbey Theatre Dublin.
The Abbey’s production of the play comes from Mark O’Rowe who has teamed up with director Annabelle Comyn to create the new version.
Catherine Walker stars in the title role of Hedda alongside an ensemble cast including Declan Conlon, Peter Gaynor and Jane Brennan.

Aidan has making waves in the UK since starring on the BBC series Poldark which has drawn a massive 9 million viewers.
However, the Hobbit star’s future on the show may be in jeopardy after he revealed he plans to move to New York with girlfriend Sarah Greene.
