Aengus Mac Grianna has given us 30 years of of brilliant news reading and while we admire him for that, we’re even bigger fans of his blooper reel.
We’re all bound to occasionally slip up at work but most of us have the luxury of not working on live television, Aengus is not one of us.
From makeup application to wardrobe adjustments he has accidentally brought the behind the scenes stuff on screen several times over the years.

His parting broadcast will be a special one as he celebrates St Patrick’s Day with all of us on RTÉ’s Six-One News tonight.
We’ve loved some of the real life Anchorman moments he’s given us getting carried away reading the teleprompter.
Accolades he has been awarded include Jimmy Kimmel’s prestigous Excellence in Reporting award AND landing in an eBay ad for this one!
