The PPI Radio Awards 2016 have announced the shortlist for this year’s awards.
A total of 90 judges, drawn from the industry in Ireland and Europe, judged 282 hours of submissions from the 700 entries across 37 categories.
The ceremony will take place at the Lyrath Estate Hotel, Kilkenny on Friday October 7th. The Awards, sponsored by PPI and the BAI, are a much sought after accolade and the highlight event in the radio industry calendar.
The Awards event will be attended by over 700 stars from both in front and behind the mic of radio in all across Ireland.
Ahead of the Awards, this Friday, September 16, will see the induction of four new members of the PPI Radio Awards Hall of Fame at the BAI offices in Dublin.
The Hall of Fame members will be kept a secret until the awards, and will join the likes of Mario Rosenstock, Gay Byrne, Des Cahill, and the late Gerry Ryan.
