Drake releases his seventh studio album just hours after announcing it

Drake has released his seventh studio album ‘Honestly, Nevermind’, just hours after he announced it.

On Thursday, the rapper surprised fans by revealing he was dropping a new album at midnight.

The Canadian posted a photo of the album’s cover on Instagram, which features the album’s title in a large, grunge-inspired, multi-coloured font.

Drake captioned the unanticipated post: “7th studio album ‘HONESTLY, NEVERMIND’ out at midnight.”

Fans took to the comments section to share their excitement for the new release.

One wrote, “Right on time…Summer’s officially here now 🙌🏼,” as another said, “The king is back 🔥🔥🔥.”

The rapper was also applauded by his fellow artists including G-Eazy, who said, “Sheeeeeeesh 🙏🏼🙏🏼🙏🏼,” whilst AJ Tracey wrote, “😅 okok.”

British rapper Aitch added, “🔥🔥🔥,” and DJ Khaled chimed in, “Get your spritzers ready 🍹 ! 🔥🆙🚨.”

A couple of hours later, Drake posted another photo to Instagram – this time of the 14-song tracklist.

There is only one collaboration on the rapper’s seventh studio album, which is the final song entitled Jimmy Cook’s (feat. 21 Savage).

Drake’s last album Certified Lover Boy was released in 2021.

All six of his previous albums have topped the US charts.
