Keira Knightley set to return to Pirates Of The Caribbean franchise

The actress starred as the sassy Elizabeth Swann

Keira Knightley is rumoured to return to the Pirates Of The Caribbean franchise.

The actress starred as Elizabeth Swann in the first three films and fans last saw her clutching the Dead Man’s Chest containing her love Will Turner’s heart as she was left alone on a desert island.

However, the Brit is said to have filmed a post-credits scene for the upcoming film, Dead Men Tell No Tales.

The post-credits scene will follow on from the new film and will lead into the next film, which may show more of Keira’s character.

According to The Mirror, she appeared in Shepperton Studios in Surray, England last month for a one-day shoot, and that tight security meant the set was in lockdown.

Despite saying previously that she “can’t really imagine going back” to Pirates Of The Caribbean, the 31-year-old hasn’t had a box office hit as large as the Disney series in many years.

Her last film, Collateral Beauty, is on-track to become the worst-reviewed film of 2016.

Pirates of the Caribbean: Dead Men Tell No Tales hits Irish cinemas on May 26th, 2017.
