James Nesbitt is set to produce a film inspired by Conor McGregor.
The Fall star Bronagh Taggart wrote and stars in the new film, Guard, and said she was intrigued by the popularity of Conor McGregor and the UFC.
“It is a beautiful, poignant, strong script,” the Antrim native explained about why he was drawn to the movie.

It won’t be the first time James is working with Bronagh nor is it the first time he’ll be working with the film’s director and Bronah’s husband, Jonathan Harden, best known for Peep Show and Unforgotten.
“I have worked with both Jonathan and Bronagh before and have every confidence they will make it the wonderful piece of drama that it is,” he said in a video released on the film’s website, Indiegogo.
“So, get behind it. Join me in supporting Guard.”
