Heather Morris has posted a touching video of herself dancing to one of Naya Rivera’s songs.
The 33-year-old is mourning the loss of her Glee co-star, whose body was recovered from Lake Piru in Southern California last week – five days after she was declared missing.
Taking to Instagram, Heather shared the heartfelt footage with her one million followers, in which she danced to Naya’s song Radio Silence.
“I want to share something very personal with you all…,” she wrote alongside the video.
In the emotional message, the actress opened up about her grieving process.
“Grieving looks very differently on everyone…but one things for certain: I’ve felt it’s hard to feel joy or keep busy when mourning without thinking that you’re not honoring that person or you’re forgetting about them,” she explained.
“But @hubbell_woodshop reminded me that honoring someone can mean you’re enjoying your life FOR them…”
Heather admitted that she felt “resentful” for reaching one million Instagram followers recently as she “gained them from a tragedy.”
“I made it to 1M followers in these last few weeks and at first I was resentful because I gained them from a tragedy, but after giving it a breath.. I realized you all have just surrounded me with love and support,” she continued.
“That I just see you angels wrapping your wings around me ????????.”
“So I’m celebrating 1Million today in a tribute to @nayarivera with her music and her voice that will forever be my favorite,” she added.
Naya and Heather played high school cheerleaders turned love interests, Santana and Brittany, on Glee – which ran from 2009 to 2015.
The news comes after the mother-of-two confessed that she had plans to meet up with her late co-star this week.
