Ewan McGregor is starring in the upcoming third season of Fargo.
But if you didn’t know that, you may well have failed to recognise him in the newly released promo for the show.
The actor looked totally different in the short clip, which showed him with a receding hairline and a moustache.
He was seen sitting beside Mary Elizabeth Winstead in a diner and leaving after clocking Carrie Coon’s character, who is dressed in a police uniform.

As the pair leave, some of the neon lights advertising the diner flicker out to ominously spell “die”.
Ewan will play two brothers in the third season, which is keeping most plot details firmly under wraps but will take place in 2010.
Season three also stars David Thewlis and Jim Gaffigan, and previous teasers have shown a giant inflatable Santa being shot down and an air conditioner running on a snowy day.
