Travis Barker has slammed the “ridiculous” rumour his fling with Kim Kardashian caused her feud with her sister Kourtney.
Their feud stems from Kim working with Dolce & Gabbana just months after Kourtney collaborated with the brand on her wedding to Travis.
The 44-year-old married the Blink-182 drummer at a star-studded ceremony in Portofino, Italy last year.
The bride, groom and their entire wedding party were dressed by Dolce & Gabbana for the occasion, who also helped organise their nuptials.
Earlier this year, Kim was announced as the face of Dolce & Gabbana – just months after attending her sister’s lavish Italian wedding.
At the time, Kourtney accused Kim of using her wedding as a “business opportunity”, and claimed she took away from her special moment.
However, Kim denied any wrongdoing, saying she “couldn’t have been more mindful” of Kourtney ahead of her collaboration.
Earlier this year, excerpts from Travis’ 2016 memoir Can I Say resurfaced, in which he revealed he previously found Kim “f**king hot” and admitted to “secretly checking [her] out”.
The Blink-182 drummer has since addressed “ridiculous” speculation that this caused the sister’s feuding.
He told the Los Angeles Times: “You give people a little information and they think they’ve solved the mystery of ‘this is why they’re fighting.’ It’s just so ridiculous.”
“It’s like, ‘Kourtney’s fans are worried about Travis. He’s a womanizer.’ Stop it.”
“I obviously shared all that stuff because I wanted to move past it,” Travis continued. “It was therapeutic for me.”
“That’s her sister. She knows we used to talk. Nothing bad was going on.”
In 2021, Kim shut down rumours about her romantic past with Travis.
Taking to her Instagram Stories at the time, she responded to a fan asking whether they’d ever hooker up, writing: “NO! False narrative! We’ve been friends for years, and I’m so happy for him and Kourt.”
