Rihanna sent her father a ventilator – after he tested positive for COVID-19

The singer was worried her 66-year-old father would die from the virus

Rihanna’s father Ronald Fenty has revealed that she sent him a ventilator, after he tested positive for COVID-19.

The singer feared her father would die, as the 66-year-old suffered extremely high fevers with the virus.

Speaking to The Sun, he said: “My daughter Robyn was checking in on me every day.”

“I thought I was going to die to be honest. I have to say, I love you so much, Robyn.”

Singing his daughters praises, he continued: “She did so much for me. I appreciate everything she has done.”

Ronald also revealed that his daughter managed to send a ventilator for him to use in Barbados, but thankfully he hasn’t needed to use it.

He recalled: “I got a fever up inside of my nose. I had a fever across my lips. It was just a lot of fever. I feared the worst. I thought I was going to die, honestly.”

Ronald then made an appeal to the public, and said, “I want everybody to stay home. This is a serious situation. More serious than people realize. Please stay home.”

Ronald was one of the few coronavirus cases in Barbados, and so far, only three people there have died from the virus.

Rihanna has already donated millions to various coronavirus relief efforts, and has been applauded for doing so on social media.

Jus last week, the singer joined forces with Jay-Z to donate $1 million each to Covid-19 response efforts.

The Shawn Carter Foundation and the Clara Lionel Foundation – named after Rihanna’s mum – announced that they will “support undocumented workers, the children of frontline health workers and first responders, and incarcerated, elderly and homeless populations in New York City and Los Angeles.”

The charities will also be “offering daycare, learning materials, food and supplies for the children of frontline healthcare workers and first responders.”

On top of that, Rihanna has donated $5 million to a myriad charities affected by the virus, and has also helped donate personal protective equipment to hospitals in New York.

In another incredibly generous move, Rihanna has also teamed up with Twitter CEO Jack Dorsey to donate $2.1 million each to the Mayor’s Fund for Los Angeles – to assist victims of domestic violence affected by the COVID-19 “stay at home” order in the greater Los Angeles area.
