Meghan King has confirmed her split from Cuffe Owens after two months of marriage.
The Real Housewives of Orange County star, who married US President Joe Biden’s nephew on October 11, took to her Instagram Stories to address the split rumours.
The 37-year-old wrote: “I’ve been asked by many outlets and individuals to comment on the state of my marriage. I am rattled. This situation is profoundly devastating.”
“This is obviously not what I imagined when I made my vows — and I’m shocked and saddened by the way things turned out,” she added.
“I am moving forward with my children as we privately process our pain and begin to let go of shattered dreams,” Meghan continued, referring to the three children she shares with her ex-husband Jim Edmonds.
“At the time I ask for your grave and gentle kindness as I navigate this labyrinth of grief with my family.”
Meghan confirmed her relationship with Cuffe on September 25 by sharing a sweet photo with him to Instagram.
She captioned the post: “Trying my best to avoid any cheesy introductions like “my main squeeze”… so just meet my man. ❤️”
Two weeks later, the reality star shared a photo of her and Cuffe on their wedding day, and wrote: “We just knew. Introducing Mr. and Mrs. Owens.”
Speaking about her whirlwind romance, Meghan told Brides magazine: “We connected on a dating app, texted for a day or two, then spent five straight hours on the phone the first time we spoke.”
“By the time that call ended, Cuffe was booked and packed for a flight to St. Louis that took off in about eight hours.”
“Within a week, we were back on the East Coast, meeting his family, and starting to plan our future together. We didn’t leave each other’s side for weeks.”
Meghan was previously married to her college sweetheart Brad McDill, but they split in 2011.
The reality star then wed MLB superstar Jim Edmonds in 2014, who she shares three children with – 4-year-old Aspen and 3-year-old twins Hart and Hayes.
The former couple split in 2019, and their divorce was finalised in May this year.
