Police are investigating a suspected dangerous package with was allegedly address to Robert De Niro.
The suspicious item was reportedly sent to the actor’s restaurant in Tribeca and contained his name in the address.
According to CNN, the package had similarities to those containing suspected pipe bombs which were sent to Barack Obama, Bill and Hilary Clinton and CNN in recent days.
The actor has been very open about his criticism of Trump and is the fourth perceived critic of the president to be targeted by suspected explosives this week.
None of the suspected bombs sent to the politicians, actor and news station harmed anyone and according to The New York Times, a law enforcement official stated that the packages could have been designed to look like bombs, but may have been dupes.
