Pete Davidson reportedly decided to mention Ariana Grande on Saturday Night Live at the last minute, after he heard ‘thank u, next.’
It’s believed that the comedian also scrapped an entire skit regarding his ex, after she slammed him online for joking about their engagement in a promo clip for the show, early last week.
The 24-year-old still decided to give Ariana a mention on the show though, after she released her latest single, ‘thank, u next’.
Pete described the 25-year-old as “a wonderful, strong person” on the show, but only decided at the last minute to add in the mention.
According to TMZ, the comedian ran the idea by producer, Lorne Michaels, just minutes before he went on-air.
Ariana released ‘thank u, next’ thirty minutes before SNL started and mentioned Pete in the song, as she simply said that she is “thankful” for him.
