Kim Kardashian swerved a question about Kate Middleton, after receiving backlash over an “insensitive” joke she posted on Instagram.
Last week, the reality star weighed in on jokes surrounding the whereabouts of the Princess of Wales prior to the announcement of her cancer diagnosis on Friday.
The post made on Instagram saw Kim standing in front of a sports car alongside the caption: “On my way to go find Kate.”

The post played on the internet’s obsession with Kate’s whereabouts, after she took time out of the spotlight to recover from abdominal surgery.
It has since emerged that the Princess has been privately battling cancer, which was discovered after her planned surgery in January.
The 42-year-old confirmed the news in a video shared on social media on Friday, and revealed she was undergoing preventative chemotherapy.
The 42-year-old said: “In January, I underwent major abdominal surgery in London and at the time, it was thought that my condition was non-cancerous. The surgery was successful. However, tests after the operation found cancer had been present.”
“My medical team therefore advised that I should undergo a course of preventative chemotherapy and I am now in the early stages of that treatment.”
Since this shock revelation, many celebrities, including Blake Lively, have apologised for weighing in on the online speculation surrounding Kate.
Kim, however, has not and the original caption she posted has remained unchanged as of Sunday.
A host of social media users have flooded the comment section underneath the post, criticising her “insensitive” caption.
One comment said: “I think an apology is needed!”
While another expressed: “After the news of her having cancer has been revealed, you should really take this down. It’s extremely insensitive and you owe our princess an apology.”
Others demanded the star to take down the post altogether.
That day, Kim faced the paparazzi on her way to her son Saint’s football game.
One asked: “Any comments on Kate?” but she remained quiet and got into the car.
It’s unclear if the reality star simply didn’t hear the question, however the Instagram post about Kate remains on her account with the caption unedited.
