Jennifer Aniston has revealed that she texted Matthew Perry on the day of his death and said that the Friend’s actor didn’t seem to be “struggling.”
The actor, best known for his role as Chandler Bing on Friends, sadly passed away on October 28 at the age of 54.
The late 54-year-old died of an apparent drowning in the hot tub of his LA home.
In her first interview, since her Friends co-star passed away, the This Morning show actress has opened up about the loss of the star.
Speaking to Variety, Jennifer said: “I was literally texting with him that morning, funny Matty. He was not in pain. He wasn’t struggling. He was happy.”
She continued: “He was happy. He was healthy. He had quit smoking. He was getting in shape. He was happy — that’s all I know.”
Jennifer admitted that she wants people to remember Matthew as “healthy” and “happy,”
“I want people to know he was really healthy, and getting healthy. He was on a pursuit. He worked so hard. He really was dealt a tough one.”
She revealed: “I miss him dearly. We all do. Boy, he made us laugh really hard.”
“I hope he can know that he was loved in a way he never thought he was,” Jennifer admitted.
