Tom Brady and Gisele Bündchen confirmed their divorce on October 28.
The former couple reportedly set down an “ironclad” prenup before they married back in 2009, which allowed their divorce proceedings to be settled swiftly.
A source told Page Six: “There was an ironclad prenup set down before they married in 2009.”
The source continued: “They both have their own separate business entities, so the separation of their wealth wasn’t that complicated in the end. The only other major factor was dividing up their massive property portfolio.”
According to the outlet, Tom will retain the $17 million mansion, which is currently under construction, on the “billionaire’s bunker” Indian Creek Island in Miami.
The former couple bought the property back in 2020 and demolished it, with plans to build their “dream home”.
The Post reported that Gisele quietly purchased her own home in Miami Beach ahead of their divorce.
The home is said to be a modest three-bedroom, three-bathroom mansion, which she reportedly purchased for $1.25 million.
Sources have said she is likely to use the home as an office, and has purchased a larger home in the area.
Meanwhile, it has been reported that Gisele will retain their home on the Nicoya Peninsula in Costa Rica.
Tom and Gisele’s expansive property portfolio also includes a home in the Bahamas, one at the exclusive Yellowstone Club in Montana, and an NYC apartment.
According to Page Six, sources have said Gisele and Tom will share joint custody of their two children Benjamin, 12, and Vivian, 9.
Tampa Bay Buccaneers quarterback also shares a 15-year-old son Jack with actress Bridget Moynahan.
Gisele, the world’s highest paid model, reportedly has a net worth of $400 million, while Tom has an estimated net worth of up to $333 million.
Gisele and Tom confirmed their divorce through heartbreaking statements on October 28.
Tom wrote: “In recent days, my wife and I finalized our divorce from one another after 13 years of marriage.”
“We arrived at this decision amicably and with gratitude for the time spent together. We are blessed with beautiful and wonderful children who will continue to be the center of our world in every way.”
“We will continue to work together as parents to always ensure that they receive the love and attention they deserve.”
Tom continued: “We arrived at this decision to end our marriage after much consideration. Doing so, is, of course, painful and difficult, like it is for many people who go through the same thing every day around the world.”
“However we wish only the best for each other as we pursue whatever new chapters in our lives that are yet to be written.”
The 45-year-old concluded his statement with a request for “privacy and respect”.
In a separate statement, Gisele wrote on Instagram: “With much gratitude for our time together, Tom and I have amicably finalized our divorce.”
“My priority has always been and will continue to be our children whom I love with all my heart. We will continue co-parenting to give them the love, care and attention they greatly deserve.”
“The decision to end a marriage is never easy but we have grown apart and while it is, of course, difficult to go through something like this, I feel blessed for the time we had together and only wish the best for Tom always.”
The supermodel also asked that their privacy “be respected during this sensitive time.”
