Have Beyoncé and Adele REALLY collaborated on a new song?

We KNEW this was too good to be true...

It looks like music royalty Beyoncé and Adele aren’t releasing a song together after all.

Rumours began swirling about the collaboration last week, after One Republic frontman Ryan Tedder said the pair were set to feature on their new album with Coldplay’s Chris Martin.

“We have one song featuring Beyonce and Adele, with a Chris Martin piano solo and bridge,” Tedder said.

However, the One Republic star has since clarified his statement on Instagram, and revealed his comment about Beyoncé and Adele was a “joke.”

Ryan wrote: “Me, utilizing ‘sarcasm’, ‘kidding’, and a ‘joke’ simultaneously: ‘Ya, we have one song featuring Beyonce, Adele and Chris Martin, but I don’t wanna talk about it or give too much away.'”

Tedder co-wrote a number of Adele’s songs, including Rumour Has It, and he has also written songs such as XO and Halo for Beyoncé.

While it would have been the first time Adele collaborated with any of the artists involved, Yoncé previously collaborated with Chris Martin on Coldplay’s Hymn For The Weekend.

Adele’s last album was in 2015 when she released 25. Meanwhile, Beyoncé’s last solo album, Lemonade, came out in 2016.
