The highly anticipated ‘threequel’ of ‘Sex and the City’ has officially been cancelled.
Sarah Jessica Parker spoke to Extra while at the New York City Ballet Gala on Thursday, with her husband Matthew Broderick.
“It’s over, we’re not doing it” the actor explained.
“It’s not just disappointing that we don’t get to tell the story and have that experience, but more so for that audience that has been so vocal in wanting another movie”.
This news is extremely disappointing for fans, as Warner Bros had confirmed that the third movie would go ahead.
According to The Sun, Kim Cattrall wouldn’t sign on unless Warner Bros produced the other movies she was working on. Warner Bros declined and so the movie has been axed.
A source spoke to DailyMail TV stating “The only reason this movie isn’t being made is because of Kim Cattrall. Everyone was looking forward to making this movie but Kim made it all about her, always playing the victim”.
This is especially devastating as SJP, Cynthia Nixon and Kristin Davis had all signed on for the project and were reportedly extremely excited for it.
