Dakota Johnson and Chris Martin have reportedly been engaged for years but are in “no rush to get married.”
The Coldplay frontman and the Madame Web star have been dating on and off since 2017.
The 5o Shades actress was previously spotted in December 2020 wearing a large emerald ring on her left hand, however, the pair declined to comment at the time.

However, a source confirmed to PEOPLE magazine that the ring was, in fact, an engagement ring.
A source told The Mirror: “The couple got engaged a while ago and have kept the news private. But now they are being open about it with their circles”
“They have been besotted with each other from day one so taking this next step was inevitable. They are in no rush to plan the wedding but are just enjoying making their commitment official.”
According to the publication, the couple received Gwyneth blessing along with Chris’ children, Apple and Moses.
In March’s issue of Bustle magazine, the actress spoke about what it is like being a step-mother to Apple, 19 and Moses, 17: “I love those kids like my life depends on it. With all my heart. How do I feel about motherhood? I’m so open to that.”
“I’ve gotten to this place where I really want to experience everything life has to offer.”

Speaking of the snap that went viral of herself and Gwyneth holding hands last year, Dakota said: “I’m glad there was that positive reaction. I grew up in a family that was so big, and I just believe in the saying ‘Blood is thicker than water’.”
“The actual saying is ‘The blood of the covenant is thicker than the water of the womb’ which means the people you choose are more solid than the connections to the people you’re actually born to.”
