Cuba Gooding Sr. has died at the age of 72, according to reports.
The soul singer, who was the father of actor Cuba Gooding Jr., was found dead in his car on Thursday afternoon in Woodland Hills, California.
TMZ claims Gooding was found slumped over in his silver Jaguar and firemen attempted to revive him with CPR but were unable to.

The publication reports that the star died of a possible overdose, and alleges that empty alcohol containers were found in the vehicle.
Gooding was best known as the lead singer of 1970s soul group The Main Ingredient, whose song Everybody Plays the Fool became a huge hit in 1972.
Alicia Keys also sampled his vocals for her 2004 track You Don’t Know My Name.
Gooding is survived by his wife Shirley, who he was originally married to from 1966 to 1974 and then remarried in 1995, and their four children: Cuba Jr., Omar, April and Tommy.
