A new report has revealed that Cardi B and Offset’s marriage had always been “tumultuous”.
This comes after the rapper confirmed that she was “single”, after her husband Offset denied cheating with rapper and reality star Chrisean Rock.
After sparking split rumours last week by unfollowing each other on Instagram, the mother-of-two has revealed she’s back on the market.
A source told PEOPLE: “They’re tumultuous. They’ve broken up and gotten back together and broken up again way more than the public has seen.”
However, the insider also added: “They’ve had really good times together.”
During an Instagram Live, the Up singer told fans: “I don’t know if y’all have been getting clues from me from my live, I mean… or from my Instagram Stories, where I put certain music.”
“When it comes to today’s events and stuff, I don’t think its true, I don’t care to find out because I have been single for a minute now. But I have been afraid to like… not afraid but I just don’t know how to tell the world. I feel like today has been like a sign.

“The last time I got on Live I kind of wanted to tell you but I didn’t know how to tell you so I changed my mind. But this has been for a minute now and I just feel like this is a sign.
“So, I wanna start 2024 afresh… open. I am curious for a new life, for a new beginning. Yeah, I am excited.”
The 31-year-old made the confession after Offset took to Twitter on Sunday to deny allegations made by fellow rapper Blueface that he had slept with his ex Chrisean Rock a few weeks ago.
Blueface had claimed in a tweet: “Being tatted on a h** is not a flex you literally f***** cardi B husband couple weeks ago I’m tired of n***** looking at me while they f****** you get the rest of em gone asap please.”
“Tried to keep yo secret but you keep popping it on these apps ima only state facts everytime … So you ain’t f*** cardi husband November 10th at 4am at their house in LA …I’m making this up ? … Post that time an date on they a** now everybody quiet.”
In response, Offset reposted Blueface’s tweet and said: “I ain’t never talk or touch that lady. Real talk man you need some help!”

The couple, who met in 2016, have had their fair share of online drama – with Cardi revealing to her fans that their entire relationship was “fake” in December 2018.
Offset also proposed to Cardi on stage in October 2017, although they were already legally married at the time.
In January 2018, it was speculated that Offset had cheated on Cardi and even made a sex tape with the other woman.
Cardi responded to the criticism she faced for staying with Offset in February 2018, saying, “It’s not right, what he f*cking did – but people don’t know what I did, ’cause I ain’t no angel.”
In 2020, the Bodak Yellow singer filed for divorce from the Migos rapper, stating in court documents that their relationship was “irretrievably broken” with “no prospects for a reconciliation.”
But two months later, Cardi retracted her initial filing and told E! News’ Daily Pop: “Of course we went through some challenges, we had to get to know each other better. But I feel like I’ve never been happier.”
The singer said, “It’s the family, the unity, the friendship that we have, the ‘I have your back, you have my back.’”
The couple share two children together – daughter Kulture Kiari Cephus, 5, and son Wave Set Cephus, 2.
