Avicii’s official death certificate has been released.

The DJ tragically died back in April at the age of 28, and it was previously reported that the music producer took his own life.

The Sweden native, whose real name was Tim Bergling, was found dead in his hotel room in Muscat, Oman, on the 20th of April.

The official certificate of his death did not mention suicide, however, his family released a statement in April which alluded to the fact that Tim could not go on any longer.

The official death certificate, which TMZ posted onto their website, has Avicii’s real name and date of birth removed, however the publication says that it is indeed his certificate.

The publication lists his nationality as Swedish and religion as Christian.

It was reported by TMZ that the 28-year-old died of self inflicted wounds from a broken wine bottle, which caused huge amounts of blood loss.

In a statement released by his family, his parents wrote how Tim “wanted to find peace”.
