UTV Ireland's Jenny Buckley gets The Pulse racing as entertainment show is extended

UTV Ireland presenter Jenny Buckley has revealed her entertainment bulletin has been extended to half an hour.

The TV star has been fronting The Pulse, a three-minute slot every Friday, for the past three months and admitted the show is to be extended before Christmas.

“We’re delighted with The Pulse, the ratings have been so high,” she said.

“I suppose it’s what’s needed at this time. We’re hoping to extend it to a half hour show just before Christmas.

“It’s gone very well. We’re getting out and about to premieres. We’re getting to travel with the show, covering a lot of different events,” she told the Irish Mirror.

“It’s really coming together and I’m really happy with it. Diet Coke came in as the sponsor and we’ve Trevor Keegan as producer so the format was there and we’ve built on it together.”

Rivalry: Jenny dismissed any rivalry between The Pulse and Xpose | UTV IRELAND

Meanwhile, the blonde beauty dismissed any talks of rivalry between her show The Pulse and TV3’s Xpose.

“We would never rival Xpose, it’s an entertainment show,” she admitted.

“I suppose there’s room for another one on the market really. There’s a lot happening in Dublin, there’s so many events on. So far it’s been a great success.”

Happy: Jenny admitted she is loving her new role at UTV Ireland | UTV IRELAND

The 35-year-old, who presents the weather after Ireland Live and Ireland Live At 10 five nights a week, revealed she is loving her new showbiz role.

“I love it. It’s brilliant. I haven’t enjoyed a job as much as this. Just getting out to meet new people,” she said.

“Last week we went to the Bord Gais and I got to meet Michael Ball, a massive West End star, for me that was a real highlight.”
