PICS: Meet the two Irish business women competing in this year's Apprentice

Two Dublin business women are set to go head to head in BBC’s The Apprentice.

Pamela Uddin and Roisin Hogan will battle it out to win the programme when it returns to our screens tonight.

Roisin, 32, is an accountant living in Dublin who “is now following her dream of starting her own business”

The qualified chartered accountant says she is “confident, driven and creative” and as well as striving to be the best in business, is also a keen poker player part time.

Roising lists Bethenny Frankel as her business inspiration and says she is one tough cookie when it comes to being the best.

“Manipulate, persuade and conquer. I would identify my opponent’s weaknesses and pick them off one by one,” she said.

Meanwhile Pamela, 23, is a recent university graduate and has been working as an Assistant Brand Manager.

Pamela received a scholarship to complete her masters in international business and soon worked in brand marketing.

The Dubliner describes herself as “logical, charismatic and a good decision maker”

“I am street and people savvy as well as being business savvy,” she said.

This year there will be 20 candidates, 10 women and 10 men.

RTE star Jennifer Maguire made her mark on the BBC programme in 2008.
