Irish Netflix customers won't be happy with this news

Customers of Ireland’s favourite TV past time – Netflix are set to face a price hike of €2 a month from May.

The new charges will apply to those who were among the first users of the online streaming service.

According to The Sun, those who signed up to the streaming site when it first came to Irish shores have avoided a number of price hikes – paying just €7.99 a month.

Customers now face a choice whether to pay €9.99 a month to keep their HD service and twin-screen viewing— or keep with €7.99 for standard definition only and one screen.

“Impacted members will be clearly notified by email and within the service,” said Netflix.

Will this impact Netflix and chill? We’ll just have to wait and see.
