Country star Nathan Carter has slammed X-Factor style shows – admitting they are more about the fame.
The Wagon Wheel singer admitted he has no interest in being a celeb – he’s only about the music.
“I never wanted to be famous, I just wanted to play in a band or sing, and it didn’t matter if it was in a pub or to a thousand people,” he said.

“These talent shows are more about the fame than wanting a career in music.
“I think if you work hard, try to get a fan base, and build it slowly you have more of a chance of having a career than being an overnight success and then you’re gone within a year,” he revealed.
Embarking on a gruelling 24-gig tour around Ireland next week, the 25-year-old revealed he’s on the hunt for Miss Right.
“I don’t have a girlfriend at the moment, but that’s not to say I’m not looking,” he told TV Now.

“I’m sure I would, if the right one came along,” he admitted.
