It makes cents! Keith Duffy and Mary Kennedy launch new charity campaign

Keith Duffy and Mary Kennedy are helping raise funds for Irish charities around the country.

The Boyzone star and the RTE presenter have joined forces with Change For Charity – to help Irish charities raise much needed funds.

Based on the Central Bank’s rounding initiative which took place last year in Wexford to reduce the number of 1c and 2c coins in circulation, Change for Charity is asking the public to donate as many of these coins as possible.

From school kids to business people – anyone with jars, boxes or even bottles of coins can put them to good use.

Collection units will be located in selected retail outlets, banks and schools nationwide for everyone to bring their coins to.

A number of celebs will be lining up to support the campaign including Brendan Gleeson, Bobby Kerr and Today FM’s Ian Dempsey.
