Hozier has sounded off on his views on the Catholic Church and it’s influence in Ireland.
The Take Me To Church singer was a guest on Gay Byrne’s RTE chat show The Meaning Of Life and admitted that the church needs to keep it’s nose out of people’s sex lives.
“I have strong opinions as to where the church should stick it’s nose out of and I have strong opinions on what authority it doesn’t have when speaking with sexuality or speaking about the relationship of two people,” he said.
“I think the Catholic Church has a very unique position of Ireland because so many things over the years have been influenced heavily by that organisation.”
The Meaning Of Life With Gay Byrne airs Sundays at 10:30pm.
