Mr Ireland Karl Bowe has revealed he would love to become the next Keith Duffy and land a role on a UK soap.
The Irish model is appearing on an episode of dating show Take Me Out in the UK this weekend and told Goss.ie he hopes the appearance will make TV bosses take notice of him.
“I didn’t go on the show to look for a date or to find love, I did it for the exposure and publicity and get onto the UK market,” Karl said.
“It would be great publicity to go on UK television, you’ll never get that opportunity again. Any publicity is good publicity.”

Karl revealed he hopes to turn his appearance on the reality game show into an acting career.
“Acting is what I really want to do, sometimes if your personality comes across well on TV, that can open the door for other things as well”
“If the right opportunity came around whether that be reality TV or one of the soaps, I definitely would consider it,” he told Goss.ie
“Hollyoaks would be ideal. Coronation Street, any of them that get good publicity. I would get to be the next Keith Duffy.”

Before he hits the big time in the UK, the Dublin native has kept himself busy with an upcoming guest spot on Red Rock.
“I’m an estate agent in it, I handed over a lease to a house which I shouldn’t have and that created a bit of controversy,” he said.
“I was talking to the producer there not too long ago and he said I did a pretty good job and that there is a possibility they might bring me back into the show again.”

However, ultimately Karl has his sites set on leaving Ireland for a more successful  showbiz career abroad.
“To be honest, I ca’t really see myself being in Ireland for the rest of my life, I’d love to broaden my horizons whether it is the UK or America or god knows what,” he admitted.
