Colin Farrell has been nominated for a European Film Award.
The Castleknock native is in the running for Best Actor for his role in the critically acclaimed The Lobster.
The film was also nominated for another four awards at the Gala event including Best Film, Best Director, Best Screenwriter and Best Costume Design.

The movie, which was shot in Dublin and Kerry, is the joint most-nominated at the prestigious event which will take place on December 12th in Berlin.
It’s proving to be a successful weeks for the comedy-drama which received seven nominations at the British Independent Film Awards.
Aside from nominations, the independent film won audiences over in Ireland and UK making it a box office hit.
