Ronan Keating has admitted he’s jealous of how One Direction have enjoyed their fame.
The singer, who joined Boyzone when he was just 16-years-old and became an overnight teen idol, revealed he felt he never got to make the most of his time in the public eye – like the 1D boys.
“Don’t get me wrong, it was brilliant. It was amazing. I just wish I’d enjoyed it more. I didn’t,” he said.
Envious: Ronan admitted he was jealous of One Direction
“I honestly didn’t. I was too busy trying to be the perfect pop star or making sure I said all the right things.
“I look at the lads from One Direction now and I’m envious of them. They’re having a great time. I was a 16-year-old kid with a 30 year-old head on my shoulders,” he told the Mail Online.
“I should have been wild, and having a great time, and being a pop star.”
Meanwhile, the 38-year-old hit back at claims his ex wife Yvonne Connolly made about him.
