Selling Sunset star Chelsea Lazkani has filed for divorce from Jeff Lazkani after 7 years of marriage.
The 31-year-old cited “irreconcilable differences” in court documents as the reason for their split.
The reality star shares kids Maddox, 5, and Melia, 3, with the Media and PR guru.
The paperwork also stated that Chelsea requested joint physical and legal custody of their kids.
The 31-year-old also asked for spousal support but did not request Jeff’s ability to ask for alimony to be terminated.
The divorce documents made no mention of a prenuptial agreement.
Chelsea met Jeff on Tinder in 2015 when she first moved to Los Angeles.
The mother-of-two previously confessed that she didn’t plan to permanently move to California but stayed for Jeff.
In May 2022, she told the Daily Mail: “We spoke about 15 times before getting together. I don’t want to waste my time and give my energy to somebody if I don’t think it will be worth it.”
“I felt like I knew him before we even met and the connection was immediate,” she gushed at the time.
The couple tied the knot after two years of dating and have both featured on the Netflix series after Chelsea joined the show in Season 5.
Jeff knew Jason Oppenheim and helped Chelsea become a permanent part of the show.
The 31-year-old told Vogue in May 2022: “I knew Jason through my husband and I said to him, ‘What do I have to do?’ You kind of see how it played out on screen. I wasn’t sure whether I was going to get in or not.”
In the same month, Chelsea gushed over Jeff’s support for her: “I think having the support of my husband and my family really essentially prepared me to take on this big role and this big opportunity.”
“But for me personally, I saw this as an opportunity to really open doors in an industry that has lacked diversity and where minorities are underrated.”
Although the split may come as a surprise to many fans, the reality star has not shared photos with her former husband in months.
Chelsea’s last post appeared to be in June 2023 when she shared a snap of the pair with an infinity sign as the caption.
