Sabrina Carpenter opens up about her ‘fun’ and ‘messy’ dating life amid romance with Barry Keoghan

Sabrina Carpenter has opened up about her “fun” and “messy” dating life amid her romance with Barry Keoghan.

The Irish actor was first linked to the American singer in December when they were papped out for dinner together in Los Angeles.

On Sunday, March 3rd, the Saltburn star was seen watching Sabrina perform at Singapore’s National Stadium as the opening act at Taylor’s concert.

A video posted on social media shows Barry watching Sabrina on stage while she sang her latest improvised outro to her hit song Nonsense.

This is the first time Barry, 31, has been photographed at one of Sabrina’s shows.

While they were first linked in December, they didn’t go public with their romance until February – when they were photographed packing on the PDA during a night out in Los Angeles.

In an interview with Cosmopolitan, the 24-year-old revealed: “The relationships that I actually want to put my energy into have to be so interesting or invigorating because they take me away from the other things I love.”

“So yeah, it’s fun and it’s messy. I think I’m still just at this place where I’m really enjoying the newness of all of it.”

Sabrina also explained that her approach to relationships has changed a lot since she was younger.

“The one thing I always thought was, ‘Why would I date this person if I didn’t see myself marrying them?’ I just wouldn’t even put energy into it,” she said.

“But now I have a mentality that there are relationships that are meant to be in your life, even if it’s only for a couple of weeks.”

Weeks before that, their romance was seemingly confirmed by the mother of Barry’s ex-girlfriend Alyson Sandro, who he shares his son Brando with.

In January, Alyson’s mother Kathy told MailOnline that Barry gave her the “heads up” about his new relationship before it hit headlines.

“They’re on talking terms and need to be for wee Brando,” she said.

“Barry had the decency to give Alyson the heads up about his new girlfriend and we can’t fault him for that. Alyson is now focusing on herself and her son.”

Speaking about fatherhood to British GQ in January, the 31-year-old confessed: “I feel a responsibility. I feel an enormous amount of pressure, which is good. And I can’t get the little boy off my mind.”

“It’s beautiful. Y’know, it’s crazy, but when he looks at you, you feel like the most important person in the world. That’s the effect he has on me.

“He smiles at you and you’re like, ‘Wow. You’re smiling at me like that? I don’t deserve that, but anyways, thanks.’
