Brad Pitt drops shared custody pursuit as divorce from Angelina Jolie nears end

Brad Pitt has dropped the pursuit of shared custody as his divorce from Angelina Jolie nears the end.

The former couple, who share six children, decided to end their two-year marriage in 2016 after 12 years together.

The Hollywood stars have since been embroiled in many legal battles – including a custody case involving their kids Maddox, Pax, Zahara, Shiloh, Knox and Vivienne.

A source told the DailyMail that the couple are nearing the end of their court dates as they are expected to finalise negotiations by the end of the Summer.

Brad originally sought a 50/50 arrangement relating to their six kids, but the insider revealed that he is no longer contesting the matter.

This means that Angelina will continue holding primary physical custody of the children and the 60-year-old will have visitation rights.

One factor in Brad’s reported decision is that the majority of their children have “aged out.”

Only three out of their six children are under 18 and Shiloh will pass that milestone in May.

The older children – Maddox 22, Pax, 20, and Zahara, 19 – are said to have strained relationships with the actor.

Adopted son Pax reportedly hasn’t spoken to the Oceans 11 alum since the infamous private plane fight that allegedly ended the marriage.

A recent report revealed that the 19-year-old took to a private Instagram account in 2020 and went on a rant about his father, Brad.

He wrote: “Happy Father’s Day to this world-class a**hole!! You time and time and again prove yourself to be a terrible and despicable person.”

“You have no consideration or empathy toward your four youngest children who tremble in fear when in your presence.”

The youngster exclaimed: “You will never understand the damage you have done to my family because you are incapable of doing so.”

“You have made the lives of those closest to me a constant hell.”
